In a large bowl using hand mixer (or in the bowl of a stand mixer), beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.   7. 5.Pour the mixture in the cupcake moulds and bake at 180 degree C/ 350 degree F. for about 15 mintutes.
  8. 6.Decorate with buttercream icing once the cakes cool down to room temp.

  10. In a bowl,add vegetable shortening and butter.Beat till they are soft and fluffy.Add in vanilla also.
  11. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. Gradually add milk and mix well.This butter cream icicng will have medium consistency.You can add few drops of your favourite colour,mix well and decorate your cupcakes.
