Beef keema is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions every day. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. Beef keema is something which I have loved my whole life. They’re nice and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Beef keema:
- Prepare 500 g lean beef mince
- Take 100 g fresh coriander
- Get 1 tomato
- Get 1 bulb of garlic
- Get 1 Medium Onion
- Make ready 2 tsp cumin powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp cardamon
- Prepare 1/2 tsp clove powder
- Prepare 1 tsp black pepper powder

- Take 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
- Make ready 3 medium potatoes

Cooked keema is alway added to the keema sauce for speed and flavour. Beef keema is one of my favorite South Asian dishes. I normally prepare it with a tomato and onion base (see Kulsoom's recipe here). So was intrigued when I found a recipe in the Salt'n Pepper Village cookbook that completely omitted tomatoes.
Instructions to make Beef keema:
- Chop tomato, onion, garlic and coriander as shown
- Chop potatoes and soak in water
- Prepare spices in a bowl
- In a medium dish heat vegetable oil till hot and throw in poppy seeds and fennel seeds.
- Add garlic, onion and stir till onion translucent
- Add tomatoes and stir for a 1-2 minutes
- Add chopped coriander and stir.
- Add beef and break up and mix in all fried ingredients.
- When beef is half cooked add the spice mix
- Stir in spices and fry for 3-5 minutes
- Add potatoes and stir in well
- On a low heat add 1/3 cup of water and cover till potatoes are cooked
- When finished the water should have dried up and the beef will still look moist.
